What a beautiful day.
I´ve been wanting to write this entry since Wednesday evening but there have been no time.
Let´s go back to the 22nd of December. I was a little nervous this past Wednesday because we had a flight in the afternoon to go “home”, actually to an airport 80 km from Husum where Im from. The last 3-4 weeks
I have desprately been wanting to leave, ´specially since my dad got hurt (see the 2nd post)
But of course a STORM was schduled for Wednesday afternoon exactly when our flight was, so we weren´t 100 % sure weather or not the plane could leave.
Anyway, let´s start from the beginning of this day who turned out to be wondeful. I get to work and after a couple of minutes being there our “marketing director”, or whatever title he has, comes in to my room and asks : “If you could choose, what of these two things would you want? ” showing me a box with a Nokia cellphone and a Canon digital camera. I answered back thinking he was going to give them to some customer “The digital camera of course!” and then he goes “Ok, Merry X-mas, you can have it then”. I sat there with my mouth dropped to the floor telling him he gots to be joking. He wasn´t. And I am a very happy owner of this digital camera
I still can´t believe it, Im so amped. And it works really well.
A couple of hours later one of my sales managers offered me a ride to the airport since he was going to pick up his son, perfect. No one hour SL trip in horrible weather. Simple great.
So we got to the airport in time, no delays even though the weather was far from great.
To make a long story short, our flight ended up being more than 2 hours delayed, but we were lucky enough to be on a flight that actually could land at the airport in Umeå...some flight the same day got there and had to head back to Stockholm due to the landing conditions.
My poor uncle and dad had to wait for 2 hours though even though it took them forever to drive in the storm up to the airport, and they were late to their hockey practice...oh well, at least we got home safe.
And finally home I had the pleasure to finally take care of my dad and his broken arm. He had the stiches removed from the 25 cm scar a week ago but since then he hadn´t removed all the tejp over it since my mom wasn´t feeling up to it. She wasn´t sure if she could take seeing it, so I HAD TO DO IT.
Yep, I had to act the nurse and I was so happy to. 45 minuts I spent carefully removing the small tejp pieces from his scar while my dad kept yelling at me saying how slow it goes and that I need to be careful. Let´s just say if he had done this at the hospital it would have taken 10 minutes and they wouldn´t care how much it hurt him. He did admit this after we were done, when I all of a sudden was the best thing since sliced bread.
Its totally fine, he is hurt. He can be an ass as much as he want.
Okey, moving on. Yesterday I spent the whole day being the good girl, making X-mas chocolate (I always eat all of it myself), decorating the X-mas tree, went shopping food, and made dinner. And taking my dads order all the time, getting this and getting that. But its all good, he is hurt...

In the evening we all (mom, dad, Dee and I ) went to my sister (see pic above) to have a little “the day before X-mas eve get together". When we got there in the snow storm that had started again, my parents remebered that their favorite program on TV was on with a X-mas special all evening. It´s a bingo show and they had forgot there bingo lottery things at the house, so I had to head back home and get it. When my sister and I got back 10 minutes later the next rather big problem is that the TV channel isn´t working. Its all snowey and impossible to watch.
So...my dad thinks the problem is all the snow on the satilite that is standing further up the street, and he thinks that my sister and I should go outside in the storm and remove some of the snow.
Surrrrre, we said. Its not going to help!
But no, my dad WANTS us to try. And come on, he is hurt. We can´t say no. So we put on some clothes, I grab my 5 year old Nephew´s hat and my sister puts on her own hat that makes her look like a 5 year old.
And we head out like the soldiers we are. With a constant laughing sister I grab a snowshuffle and walk up the street hoping none of her neighbours will see us. Did I mentioned what the weather was like???
Unfortunately I didn´t bring my camera so I could take a picure of us operating...but Im sure you can imagine how much it helped to remove some snow from a super big satilite. No, it didn´t do shit, but it sure was fun.
Its Christmas Eve and its time to take a shower and dress up!
More to come soon, Im sure...
